M&S-owned fashion company Jaeger has announced that its managing director Fiona Lambert is departing the business after almost two years at the brand.
The news comes as Lambert oversaw Jaeger’s relaunch and come-back after it was bought out of administration by M&S at the beginning of 2021.
Prior to joining Jaeger as MD, she was vice president of own label development for George at Asda. She also held the position of business development MD at River Island before joining the M&S-operated fashion brand.
It is reported that following a reshuffle at the company, Lambert’s position at Jaeger will be filled by Suzi Avens who joined this spring as head of product, having previously been womenswear director at Boden and product director at Cath Kidston.
According to M&S MD Richard Price, Jaeger has updated its design signature, while also “playing up its heritage” by reintroducing classic trench coats and exploring denim.
Price also said that Avens has been “instrumental” in driving the label’s product proposition forward.
He added: “She’ll do a brilliant job of upholding the integrity and independence of the Jaeger brand while overseeing its next phase of growth in the UK and overseas as we move out of its ‘start-up’ phase.”
