On the final episode of season three we sit down with Claire Watkin, CEO of The Fine Bedding Company, a fourth-generation business founded in 1912. She shares how the brand has performed in recent years and what its proposition really stands for today. We explore balancing heritage with innovation, building sustainability into products and operations, and the journey to a zero-waste eco-factory in Estonia. Claire also unpacks earning consumer trust, making the investment case, and her advice to the next generation of leaders.

H&M has announced the appointment of Andreas Eriksson as communications director succeeding his predecessor Kristina Stenvinkel.

Eriksson, who was the group’s previous head of media relations, will be succeeded by Iñigo Sáenz Maestre, who is currently the senior press officer.

Eriksson brings with him extensive experience within communications and leadership from his previous roles as communications director at UNICEF Sweden and MD at Patriksson group.

Additionally, the retailer has announced that Kristina Stenvinkel will join Ramsbury, the Persson family’s private company, as communications advisor.

She will also be communications advisor to CEO Helena Helmersson and the H&M group in selected assignments.

The group previously revealed in its Q4 trading update, that net sales fell by 10% in the quarter ended 30 November 2020, following the impact of store closures and ongoing Covid-19 restrictions around the world.

In a statement, the retailer said at the time: “Extensive social restrictions involving temporary store closures and large drops in customer footfall to physical stores led to a substantial decrease in sales, particularly in the second quarter.”
