Spanish fashion retailer, Loewe, has announced it has opened a new flagship store on New Bond Street in London after a year-long refurbishment project at the premises.

The new three-floor Casa Loewe store will replace the luxury retailer’s Mount Street premises as Loewe’s only London store. The retailer will showcase its latest collections at the store alongside a selection of artwork and homeware. Two other Casa Loewe store types have been opened in Madrid and Tokyo featuring a pop-up space for art installations.

Loewe says artwork will be a permanent fixture of the store, with the first set of work set to include sculptures by Ernst Gamperl, photographs by Alair Gomes, and Grayson Perry’s ‘Mum and Dad’ vase.

The retailer said it wants to make the space “a carefully curated environment, a place of luxury, intimacy and culture”, with the interior designed by Jonathan Anderson. The Grade II listed building’s refurbishment has seen natural materials used such as cast concrete walls, wood panelling, poured concrete floors and curtains made from linen.
