Søstrene Grene has opened its first Gloucester store at Gloucester Quays, bringing the Scandinavian homeware brand’s full range to the city for the first time.

The 3,987 sq ft unit, located at the main entrance to the scheme from High Orchard Street, offers the brand’s homewares, small furniture, lifestyle accessories and craft items.

Norma Jacob and Richard Power, UK venture partners of Søstrene Grene, said the opening drew strong interest across its first weekend.

They said: “The atmosphere across the weekend was brilliant, with so many people coming along to explore the new store and experience what Søstrene Grene is all about.

“The feedback has been incredibly positive, and it’s been great to see shoppers already connecting with the brand. We’re really excited to be part of the Gloucester Quays community and can’t wait to welcome even more visitors in the weeks ahead.”

Earlier this year, the Danish homewares brand reported record turnover for the 2024/25 financial year, with turnover rising 31% from £240m to £314m.

Growth was driven by strong international expansion and particularly high performance in the UK, where sales increased 130% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, gross profit increased from £91m to £111m, while profit before tax reached £23m, reflecting a £2.5m adjustment from a new accounting principle.
