Kitchenware retailer ProCook has signed a 10-year lease for a 5,052 sq ft unit at Manchester Arndale, becoming the shopping centre’s first dedicated kitchenware brand.
The new store is anticipated to be ProCook’s largest in the UK and its first in central Manchester. The company, which operates as a direct-to-consumer brand and is a certified B Corporation, said the outlet will feature its latest store design and stock its full range of cookware, kitchen accessories and tableware.
The opening adds to a series of recent lettings at Manchester Arndale, including Boux Avenue, Xtra Fit and Sephora. The centre’s owners said the new arrivals form part of a wider strategy to strengthen its retail mix.
Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, said: “It’s fantastic to be welcoming ProCook to the line-up as Manchester Arndale’s first dedicated kitchenware brand. The brand joins the centre at a really exciting time following the recent opening of Sephora and the upcoming launch of Xtra Fit’s first Manchester location.
“ProCook’s quality offering complements our strong line-up of homeware brands including household names such as Argos, TkMaxx and Next and we are looking forward to seeing our shoppers explore the new store when it opens later this year.”
Lee Tappenden, chief executive of ProCook, added: “This opening reflects our continued investment in bringing the ProCook brand to major retail destinations across the UK. This is a great setting to showcase our latest store design and we’re proud to be introducing it to one of the country’s most high-profile shopping centres.”
