Uniqlo has revealed that it is set to open its new store in the Bullring Centre in Birmingham on 16 October, as it looks to expand further.

The new store, its first in the Midlands, will feature a full range of women’s, men’s, kids and baby across 3 floors.

As part of the opening Uniqlo will be offering a free goody bag to the first 100 customers who spend over £60 on the Birmingham Bullring opening day and its opening Saturday 18 October.

It comes as the company secured a flagship letting at Cabot Circus in Bristol, providing 15,000 ft of tradable space across two floors.

The Bristol launch will bring the company’s LifeWear brand to the Southwest of England for the first time, another milestone for the company.

Alessandro Dudech, COO of Uniqlo UK, said: “Uniqlo remains committed to strengthening its presence within the UK retail sector by expanding both our physical store network and ecommerce capabilities nationwide.

“As part of this strategic initiative, we are pleased to introduce Uniqlo to the communities and visitors in the South West at Bristol’s Cabot Circus. We look forward to offering our LifeWear collection, apparel crafted to endure, inspired by the Japanese principles of quality, simplicity, and functionality to a broader customer base.”

Paul O’Brien, director of leasing and commercialisation at Hammerson, added: “Uniqlo’s significant investment in both Bullring and Cabot Circus highlights the confidence that leading retailers have in Hammerson, and the un-matched quality of our destinations.

“By providing prime locations in the UK’s biggest cities, our destinations continue to attract the latest and best-in-class global brands seeking regional flagship presences, and Uniqlois a perfect example of this demand.”
