Accessorize launches new partnership with Deliveroo

On this episode of Talking Shop I am joined by Zipline CEO and co-founder Melissa Wong. We discuss how Melissa’s 10 years’ of frontline experience informed her approach to building a SaaS company, the recurring operational frustrations that most head offices still underestimate, and why she believes technology should be designed with the store associate as the primary user. We also explore current trends in store execution and how retailers can bridge the gap between corporate strategy and the shop floor.

Accessorize, the gifting, fashion accessories, and jewellery retailer, has announced a new partnership with Deliveroo offering customers on-demand delivery of more than 700 products.

Traditionally found in airports, train stations, and high streets, Accessorize is now bringing its collection directly to shoppers’ doors through Deliveroo for the first time.

With Deliveroo, customers can now quickly order outfit additions for a special event or send a last-minute Christmas gift using the “Make this a Gift” feature on Deliveroo Shopping.

Deliveroo customers across London can access more than 700 products from Accessorize, from jewellery and hair accessories to hats, gloves, scarves, bags, wallets, slippers, and even Christmas decorations.

The partnership will initially launch with eight Accessorize stores across London, with plans to expand to additional locations across the UK in the coming months.

Since the launch of “Deliveroo Shopping” in November 2023, shops including The Perfume Shop, Wilko, Not on The High Street, Hurr Collective, B&Q, Screwfix and Ann Summers have all also joined the platform.

Nick Stowe, CEO of Adena Brands, Accessorize’s parent company, said: “We couldn’t imagine a better time to announce our partnership with Deliveroo than during the festive season. Between office parties, last-minute gifting, and braving the winter weather, it’s not always easy to find time to shop.

“That’s why we’re so excited about this partnership: it’s all about making life easier for our customers by bringing Accessorize’s selection of the best bags, jewellery, Christmas gifts, decorations, and, of course, cold weather accessories straight to their door in under 25 minutes.”

Eric French, chief operating officer at Deliveroo, added: “There could not be a more exciting and suitable moment to announce our partnership with Accessorize than in the run up to Christmas. With more than 700 products available for on demand delivery across jewellery, fashion accessories and decorations, this partnership significantly enhances our gifting and fashion offer to support special moments throughout the year.”
