UK specialist fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop has hailed an “outstanding” sales period for Father’s Day with a record 225,397 bottles sold over 14 days in the run up to 16 June 2023, seeing a 4% increase in sales compared with the same period in 2023.

It said this equated to approximately 11 sold every minute. Dior Sauvage, Rabanne 1 Million, Prada Luna Rossa Ocean and Pascal Morabito were amongst the “most popular” fragrance choices this Father’s Day.

In store and online retail sales were also boosted by 10% during the 14 days leading up to Father’s Day compared with the same period in the prior year.

Andrea Rickard, The Perfume Shop’s trading director, said: “Perfume is always and will  continue to be a popular gift for Father’s Day. We’re pleased to see that some of the classic  fragrances alongside some of our newer scents were within the best sellers this year. We know  many of our shoppers still appreciate value which is why we had some amazing deals on offer  during this busy period.

“Choosing perfume for someone, whether that’s for your father, loved one, friend, or even yourself  can be difficult, especially when there are so many fragrance options available. Not only does it  show that you have put a lot of thought into making the right perfume choice, it can also lift spirits,  boost confidence levels and make the wearer feel amazing.”

Rickard added: “Our in-store team of fragrance experts are on hand to guide you through the process and help you  find the perfect perfume match. We also have an online tool on The Perfume Shop website, called  ‘Fragrance Finder’ which allows you to quickly and easily find new fragrances based on a scent you  already love.”
