British heritage fashion brand, Cotton Traders, has announced its new year-long partnership with broadcaster Alex Jones, its latest female celebrity ambassador this year.

The campaign featuring Jones will launch on 3 September and will see her showcase her favourite pieces from the retailer through the seasons, whilst revealing her own edit through a series of social media posts on Instagram.

In addition, Jones’ edit will be shown to a selection of top tier press and influencers at the brand’s AW23 Press Preview this September.

Cotton Traders will also host Jones’ edit on its website, where customers will be able to easily purchase their favourite pieces online.

The announcement comes shortly after Cotton Traders reported its most successful financial year to date, as existing celebrity collaborations with A Place In The Sun presenter, Jasmine Harman, and TV star, Will Mellor, were both reported to be contributors to an increase in new customers, as well as prolonging customer retention.

According to the retailer, it aims to bring in a younger and more digitally savvy customer base with the use of brand ambassadors. This strategy also aims to strengthen its position on social media with “credible and authoritative” content, and a cross-fertilisation of followers.

Nick Hamblin, CEO of Cotton Traders, said: “We’re delighted to announce Alex Jones as the new face of Cotton Traders’ best-selling category, womenswear. Alex resonates so well with our audience and we’re confident the partnership will propel our growth trajectory further through authoritative and authentic content in the digital space.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Alex Jones to our Cotton Traders family, alongside Jasmine Harman and Will Mellor, and we can’t wait to see the results she brings to us as a brand going forwards.”
