Tesco has partnered with Cineworld to launch a new weekly offer giving Clubcard members discounted cinema tickets every Tuesday.

Under the ‘Tesco Tuesdays’ scheme, members can buy up to four standard 2D tickets for £5 each, the equivalent of £2.50 in Clubcard vouchers once exchanged at double value.

To claim the discount, members must exchange at least 50p in Clubcard vouchers for a Cineworld reward code before booking tickets on the Cineworld website. The offer applies only to Tuesday screenings.

The collaboration builds on Tesco’s wider Clubcard Rewards programme, which offers members deals with more than 100 partners. Tesco says more than 24 million UK households now hold a Clubcard.

Shama Wilson, Tesco group membership and loyalty director, said: “Tuesday night can now be movie night every week for Tesco Clubcard members. Whether you want to watch a spooky horror film in the run-up to Halloween or the big Christmas blockbuster – as long as you see it on Tuesday you can snap up a ticket at Cineworld for just £2.50 in Clubcard vouchers.”

Grainne Clarke, Cineworld head of corporate sales and partnerships, added: “Tesco Tuesdays is the next step in our ongoing partnership with Tesco Clubcard. Over the past year we’ve worked closely together to strengthen that collaboration and find new ways to reward loyalty on both sides. This always-on offer gives Clubcard members £5 cinema tickets every Tuesday – a simple, rewarding way to enjoy the big screen for less.”
