Footwear retailer Clarks has revealed that its managing director of the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and Africa, Joe Ulloa, has stepped down from his role.

As a result, Jonathan Ram, who became CEO last April, will take responsibility for the UK and Ireland’s team until a new managing director is appointed.

Ulloa joined the retailer in 2017 as director of retail and franchise of the UK and Europe before becoming managing director of the UK and Ireland in 2019. He was then promoted to managing director of the UK, Ireland and MEA in 2021.

Prior to his role at this brand, he worked at Halfords, L’Occitane and Gap.

A spokesperson from Clarks said: “Clarks can confirm that after a successful period with the business, Joe Ulloa has stepped down from his role as managing director for the UK, ROI and MEA and has left Clarks.

“CEO Jon Ram is leading the UK&ROI team in the interim period as Clarks recruits Joe’s replacement.”
