Card Factory has announced the appointment of Indira Thambiah as non-executive director, effective 1 September 2022. 

Thambiah has been appointed a member of each of the company’s remuneration committee, audit and risk committee and nomination committee. 

She is an experienced multi-channel retail executive and consultant, with previous roles including head of multichannel for home retail group Argos and homebase and vice president, Europe at online sales marketplace, Zulily.

Thambiah has managed a number of private businesses, most recently Roof-Maker as CEO between 2018 to 2022. 

She has also been an independent non-executive director and member of the remuneration committee at each of Superdry plc from 2010 to 2013 and Yorkshire Building Society to 2007 to 2010. Thambiah is a qualified Chartered Accountant. 

Paul Moody, chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Indira to the Board of Card Factory plc.
