Amazon has announced it has won a broadcast package to show 20 Premier League matches per season from the 2019 to 2022.

The coverage will begin with the first round of midweek fixtures in December and all 10 matches on Boxing Day. Amazon Prime will also have its own highlights show.

The package won by the online retailer was one of the last two packages left, with BT Sport snapping up the other for £90m.

Matches will be free to watch for Amazon Prime members, members currently pay £79 per year or £7.99 per month.

Richard Scudamore, executive chairman of the Premier League called Amazon an “exciting new partner”.
