Morrisons appoints former BP CMO as new chief marketing director
Farrant replaces Rachel Eyre who has decided to exit the business

Morrisons has appointed Claire Farrant, former BP CMO/VP Mobility, as its new chief marketing director, effective 3 June 2025.
Prior to BP, Farrant spent 18 years in senior roles in the UK grocery sector – over eight years as marketing director of Lidl UK and almost a decade in a number of high profile roles at Tesco.
At Morrisons, Farrant will work very closely with Matt McLellan who joins from Asda at the beginning of June in the newly created role of Group Data and Media director.
Farrant replaces Rachel Eyre who has decided to exit the business.
Rami Baitiéh, Morrisons CEO, said: “Claire has an outstanding record in UK grocery and her deep experience, clear customer focus and proven strategic marketing skills will make her a valuable new addition to our senior team.
“I would also like to thank Rachel for her contribution to Morrisons over several years and wish her the very best for the future.”
The news comes after the group announced a series of new hires in March, including the formal appointment of Martin Dawson as group retail director and the promotion of Charlotte Exell to online director.
Alongside this, the supermarket also appointed Matt Heslop as director of convenience and wholesale, starting in early March 2025.
Lastly, Bruno Lebon was appointed as group trading director, non-food, working closely with Andrew Staniland who started in early February as Morrisons group trading director.
