Hunter Price International, a supplier of impactful consumer products for many high street retailers, has announced the acquisition of online toy retailer BargainMax.co.uk for an undisclosed sum.

The deal accelerates Hunter Price’s growth and expansion strategy, building on the business’ “most successful” trading year to date in 2023.

According to Hunter Price, The acquisition of BargainMax.co.uk “reinforces its relentless customer first approach and commitment to its unique proposition within the retail industry, across Toys, Accessories, Lifestyle, Stationery, Arts and Crafts”.

Further information will be shared regarding the acquisition over the coming months.

Josh Eden, Co-CEO (operations and finance), said: “Earlier this year we made an unwavering investment and commitment to excellence in everything we do; to our loyal customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

“This announcement today shows our actions speak louder than our words. We believe our own brands and partnerships have so much untapped potential; and we now have the capabilities to continue to innovate and activate our portfolio, to build brand equity, value and market share.”

Eden added: “We believe all our stakeholders will see the benefits of our omni-channel expansion, maintaining our competing, not competing mindset, to offer more insight, innovation and commercial impact.”

Alex Woolfstein, CEO of BargainMax.co.uk, concluded: “Hunter Price and BargainMax.co.uk share the same entrepreneurial spirit, energy and excitement for impactful consumer products.

“We both have the consumer at the heart of everything we do – we’re building for the future, together as one team – so I couldn’t be prouder to be part of this journey alongside Hunter Price.”
